Ms. Zhang, One of the Best School and Career Bilingual Counselors

　　As one of the best school and career bilingual counselors in China and the US, Yurong Zhang has been helped students to achieve their educational and career goals for years. She said, the school counseling breaks down into three intersection areas: Academic, Personal-Social, and Career Post-Secondary ( ie. Helping students navigated academic difficulties, personal problems, and plan what to do after school.) But She is not only involved in these areas that a student’s basis, but also counseling parents and teachers.

　　Ms. Zhang provides Ivy League and other highly competitive school consulting to students from China and the US to help them get into highly competitive universities worldwide. Via Skype, FaceTime, phone, and email, she counsels her students through all aspects of the school application preparation process. The philosophy that guides and motivates her school counseling work is the belief that all applicants can find an appropriate university where they can be successful academically, extracurricularly, and socially.

　　Ms. Zhang has been invited to give talks at top K12 schools, universities, education and career conferences worldwide. She always told students to develop the foundation for Ivy League success early. She said, it’s completely ok if students didn’t get into Ivy League schools. However, she said, at least students should try. She always motivates students to set up higher educational and career goals.

　　A successful Ivy League application is not the result of a little effort at application time. It is the culmination of years of hard work. The Ivy League universities (and all universities for that matter) will start to consider student’s accomplishments before 9th grade. That said, successful Ivy League applicants build the foundation for an impressive high school record long before high school. A great school counselor can guide student even before 9th grade to help them to figure out their personal strength, interests, passions and more.
